Xcode 7.0 Beta available for OSS repositories

We announced the availability of Xcode 7.0 beta for private repositories yesterday.

We are very excited to let you know that we’ve rolled out this support for public/OSS repositories today.

All you need to do is select the image we’ve prepared:

osx_image: xcode7

Beyond Xcode 7.0 beta 6, this image includes a few more updates:

  • OS X: 10.10.4 (was: 10.10.3)
  • RubyMotion: 3.14 (was: 3.13)
  • xctool: 0.25
  • Git 2.5.0 (was: 2.4.4)
  • OpenSSL: 1.0.2d_1 (was: 1.0.2c)

For the future we’re looking into making beta versions of Xcode and the relevant SDKs available as soon as we can. Being able to ship these and allow for selecting different versions of Xcode (and therefore Mac OS X too) is a result of the work we’ve done on building out our own Mac platform, which gave us much more control and insight, but most importantly, it gave us the ability to ship new versions of Xcode quickly.
